After leaving full time teaching, as my daughter was now in school,
I began to make a good amount of money photographing large scale buildings in Milwaukee
and surrounding areas, some as far off as Chicago area.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
2003-2006. University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, Photography classes covering varying subjects. Waukesha,WI
2001. Carroll University , Art Department. “Advanced Seminar for Photography Majors:
Commercial Photography for the Fine Art Photographer”. Waukesha, WI 1989-1992.
1989-1992. The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD). Adjunct Instructor in the
following classes: Color Photography, The History of Photography, and Senior Seminar
-Business Skills for the Fine Artist.
1980-1986. Herron School of Art--Indiana University at Indianapolis. Assistant Professor
of Photography in the Art Department. Taught all levels of photography; introduced Color Photography
to students; Implemented the design of a new photography darkroom & studio building which ushered
in a Major in Photography for Herron.
1978-80. International Center for Photography (ICP), New York City, NY. Instructor in all levels of
B&W photography
1977-78. University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont. Sabbatical Replacement for the
for the Professor of Photography in the Art Department. Responsible for all classes in Photography in Art
Department at UVM.

THE SPIRITUALITY OF PLACE IN ART. How pictorial representations of nature and landscape in the Visual
Arts go to the heart of our human desire for interconnectedness. Each of the artist’s we examine produce
art that speaks to the time and place in which they were born (and live.) Art works made in 2019 will have
meanings that differ from art of the 1800’s and vice versa, however, the subject of LANDSCAPE continues
down the years as means of artistic production as well as symbolism.
THE BODY POLITIC: The Portrayal of the Sexes throughout the history of the Fine Arts. How this point
of view dictates how we are seen and how we view ourselves.
